Oztype is an independent type foundry based in New South Wales, Australia, working across type design, typography and visual culture.
Oztype® is an independent type foundry founded by type designer and creative director Oussama Horchani.
The foundry develops and publishes original typefaces for designers, studios, institutions and brands. Its practice encompasses both Latin and Arabic type design, alongside an international network of designers and collaborators.
Oztype works across the complete development of a typeface, from its initial drawings through the construction of extended families, language support and final production. The foundry is equally concerned with how type is experienced in use, from editorial and identity systems to contemporary digital environments.
The foundry works with independent type designers and other creative practitioners, bringing different backgrounds and areas of expertise into its catalogue. Oztype also works directly with clients on custom typefaces, extensions and adaptations developed for specific visual and technical requirements.
